Blanket America Program Celebrates our Patchwork Heritage
A new program provides blankets to the needy with each purchase of patchwork quilts. This inspiring movement commemorates President Obama’s message of unity and responsibility for our fellow Americans as outlined in the Inaugural Address.
The idea is simple: to provide warmth and comfort to another while enjoying your own piece of American history. These quilts are available in three sizes, as a throw, a queen, or a king sized, with decorative pillows and shams also available. The quilt is composed of 13 different fabrics, of different sizes and shapes, representing the diversity and coming together of Americans in crisis.
A piece of art, these quilts are gorgeous patchwork on one side, with the January 20th 2009 Inaugural Speech featured on the back along with a flag and lady liberty design. The patchwork quilt is an American tradition of thrift, practicality, and strength. As such, it is the perfect vehicle for showing the strong caring nature of our country.
